Subaru Global - Messaging & Branding
I helped lead the creative pitch that won the global brochure business, then spent six weeks in Tokyo leading the messaging for brochures translated into 20+ languages. The unique challenge was to create messaging that was universal enough to resonate in many languages, while positioning each vehicle uniquely in the market and also supporting the Subaru brand globally. The solution: I used the word “Always” as the common thread throughout each vehicle brochure, reinforcing the Subaru global brand message of “Driving Confidence.” I gave each vehicle its own unique positioning -- e.g., “Always moving at the speed of you” for Impreza, “Always up for your life's adventures,” for Outback, and so on.
